The work of this artist has been comforting to those who can imagine being in the interior scenes or in the gardens of the paintings. His paintings are about places we know skillfully painted in vibrant color, related to the popular impressionists, recognizable, available. His paintings maintain our mood for whatever the weather, it feels like Spring. O'Sickey who taught at Kent State University for many years, teaches visitors to his studio through his boyhood sketches and examples of the various phases of his career as an artist.
